Tiramisu Iced Coffee Recipe
We'll turn anything into an iced coffee. This is our quick and easy recipe that takes the all the great flavours from the classic Italian dessert and puts them into an iced latte.
How to Make a Tiramisu Iced Coffee
Our favourite dessert, but it's also an iced coffee—putting our twist on a classic Italian dessert, this tiramisu iced latte recipe is super easy and quick, and has all the amazing flavours of the traditional Italian treat, in drink form.
The name "tiramisu" comes from the Italian tirami sù, which literally means “pick me up”. So, we feel pretty confident in saying that this iced tiramisu latte is made for an afternoon pick-me-up sweet treat that comes with a caffeine kick.
You can also make a hot tiramisu latte by simply omitting the ice in this recipe, diluting your espresso with 2 tablespoons of hot water instead, and serving it in a mug instead of a glass.
Tiramisu Iced Latte Ingredients
What You'll Need for One Serving:
- 2 Grind Compostable Coffee Pods or, if you’re a brew it yourself person, around 75ml of freshly brewed coffee using our Ground or Whole Bean Coffee. A top tip is that our Vanilla Coffee Pods taste great in this recipe, adding just the right amount of natural fruity sweetness to our House Blend coffee.
- Ice (would be extra cool if you used the Grind Ice Cube Tray)
- 1 tbsp mascarpone
- 1 tbsp double cream
- 80ml milk, or plant-based alternative
- 1 tsp sugar or maple syrup
- ½ tsp vanilla extract, if not using vanilla coffee pods
- 1 tsp cocoa powder for dusting on top
- 2 ladyfinger biscuits to serve (optional, but encouraged)
Tiramisu Iced Latte Recipe
Our easy-to-follow instructions for making the ultimate afternoon pick-me-up at home.
- Make a double shot of coffee using two coffee pods (ideally our Vanilla Coffee Pods), or freshly brew 75ml of coffee using your preferred brewing method (ours is a French Press) using our coffee beans or ground coffee in your favourite blend.
- Add the mascarpone, cream, vanilla extract (if using), and sugar or maple syrup to a small bowl. Use an electric frother or whisk to beat until the mixture is thick and smooth.
- Fill a large glass with ice cubes. Our #1 top tip for making iced coffee at home is to fill your ice tray with brewed coffee so that you get ice cubes that don’t water down your coffee while you drink it.
- Add your coffee to the ice, then top with your choice of milk. For the creamiest coffee, we’d suggest using whole milk here.
- Pour the mascarpone topping over the coffee, milk, and ice, and finish with a dusting of cocoa powder and serve with ladyfinger biscuits for the full experience.
How Many Calories in a Tiramisu Iced Latte?
The calories in this recipe will vary depending on your choice of milk, cream, and sugar. This tiramisu iced latte will typically contain around 260 calories, minus the ladyfinger biscuits, but you can reduce the calorie content by selecting low fat options for the mascarpone cheese and double cream, and opting for semi-skimmed milk and a sugar-free sweetener.
