Nutella Iced Coffee Recipe | How to Make a Nutella Iced Coffee

Combining your favourite drink with your favourite chocolate hazelnut spread, this is our easy recipe for making a great Nutella iced coffee.

How to Make a Nutella Iced Coffee

We're obsessed with iced coffee (obviously), obsessed with chocolate (inevitably), and completely obsessed with Nutella (like, really obsessed). So, it goes without saying that a Nutella iced coffee is one of our all time fave drinks. It’s super easy to make and it’s the dream middle ground between coffee and a dessert. We love this as a refreshing afternoon pick-me-up when we start lagging.

To clarify, we’re not sponsored by Nutella. We kinda wish we were, but we’re not. Use any chocolate hazelnut spread you like.

Our top tip for an extra hazelnut kick is using one or two of our Hazelnut Compostable Coffee Pods, which combine the subtle, buttery sweetness of roasted hazelnuts with all the natural nutty notes of our signature House Blend coffee. 10/10.

Nutella Iced Coffee Ingredients

What You'll Need

  • 2 Grind Coffee Pods or, if you prefer to brew it yourself, 150ml of brewed coffee using our Ground or Whole Bean Coffee
  • Ice (would be extra cool if you used the Grind Ice Cube Tray
  • 100–150ml milk or milk alternative, depending on how creamy you like your coffee
  • 1 heaped tbsp Nutella (or alternative hazelnut chocolate spread)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Nutella Iced Coffee Recipe

Our quick and easy instructions for making a delicious Nutella iced coffee in a matter of minutes.

Step 1

Make a double shot of coffee using two coffee pods (ideally our Hazelnut Coffee Pods) or freshly brew 150ml of coffee with your favourite brewing tool (ours is a Cafetière) using our coffee beans or ground coffee

Step 2

Stir the Nutella into your coffee until dissolved. If you have a milk frother, this is a great way to blend the two to create a nice, smooth texture.

Step 3

Fill a nice glass or cup (cute cups make drinks taste nicer, everyone knows that) with ice cubes. Our #1 top tip for making iced coffee at home is to fill your ice tray with brewed coffee so that you get ice cubes that don’t water down your coffee while you drink it.

Step 4

Pour your desired amount of milk over the ice.

Step 5

If you’re feeling a bit extra (and you should be), finish with a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of melted Nutella or chocolate sauce.

Step 6

Then pour the Nutella coffee mixture into the glass with the milk and ice and serve. Enjoy it and try your best not to down it in one go.

How Many Calories Are in a Nutella Iced Coffee?

The calorie count in an iced coffee with Nutella will vary depending on your measurements of Nutella and milk and if you use any extra toppings like whipped cream. If you’re looking for a lower calorie option, try using a reduced calorie chocolate hazelnut spread or skimmed milk.

Ready to Make Your Own Nutella Iced Coffee?

Obviously, a great Nutella iced coffee needs great coffee. Choose from our range of speciality-grade coffee in Nespresso® compatible, home-compostable coffee pods or, if you prefer to brew at home, as whole bean and ground.

If you’re using coffee pods, we’d inevitably suggest you get your hands on our sleek and powerful Grind One Coffee Pod Machine to make sure you’re getting the very best from your pods, making a fuller-bodied, barista-quality coffee.

And if you want the best of the best, you could also cold brew your coffee overnight with our Cold Brew Bottle, which gives your coffee a smoother taste and retains more of its natural aromas and flavours. It’s more time consuming, but it’s worth it.
