Cinnamon Iced Coffee Recipe

How to Make a Cinnamon Iced Coffee

Cinnamon may be a classic festive flavour, but it would be wrong to confine our favourite spice to the winter months. Our cinnamon iced coffee recipe is a great way to spice up your daily iced brew at home, and it’s super easy to make.

It’s refreshing (not that we particularly need this during a British summer), energy-boosting, and it tastes amazing. Cinnamon may help to reduce body temperature as well, so there’s more to it than just great flavour.

Cinnamon is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and ability to help regulate blood sugar levels. When combined with coffee, cinnamon not only enhances the taste but also adds an incredible aroma.

What You’ll Need

Cinnamon Iced Coffee Recipe

Our quick and easy instructions on how to make a delicious Cinnamon Iced Coffee, using only a handful of basic ingredients.

Step 1

Make a double shot of coffee using two Grind coffee pods in your favourite blend, or freshly brew 150ml of coffee with your favourite brewing tool (ours is a Cafetière) using our coffee beans or ground coffee

Step 2

Stir in a teaspoon of brown sugar (or equivalent sweetener) to your coffee. If you have time, leave it to cool.

Step 3

Fill a nice glass or cup (cute cups make drinks taste nicer, everyone knows that) with ice cubes.

Step 4

Add the ground cinnamon and milk into a separate glass, jar, or a cocktail shaker. Cover and give it a shake until it’s slightly frothy. Then add the coffee and give it another shake. We want to create a delicious foam on the top.

Step 5

Pour the mixture into the glass of ice and enjoy.

Benefits of Cinnamon in Coffee

On top of adding some nice spice to your iced coffee, cinnamon itself can act as an anti-inflammatory, meaning it may reduce inflammation in the body. It’s packed with antioxidants and can help regulate blood sugar levels, too. Long story short, having a pinch of cinnamon with your iced coffee is always a good idea.

How Many Calories Are in a Cinnamon Iced Coffee?

The calorie count in an iced coffee with cinnamon will vary depending on your measurements of milk and sugar, but this recipe will contain approximately 130 calories. Adding extra sugar, milk, or toppings like whipped cream will increase this to around 200–250 calories. If you’re looking for a lower calorie option, try using a sugar-free sweetener or skimmed milk.
